NoKel Services announces the publication of our first book,
"Practical Tools and Techniques
for Software Development." With this publication we hope to provide some practical knowledge to
soon-to-be- or recent-graduates in software development related fields of study.
WHY? Aren't there plenty of software education books out there?
With this publication we hope to fill a niche in the education of software developers. A quick read at
less than 150 pages, our hope is that
"Practical Tools and Techniques
for Software Development." lets the student acquire at least a minimal working knowledge of some
important tools and techniques that may not be covered in an institutional setting. We are convinced
that knowledge of these topics will give students who read it not only a competitive advantage
during interviews, but also
the ability to quickly step from an academic environment into a professional development environment with
a working knowledge of the day-to-day tools and techniques.
We discuss these important practical topics and more:
- Debugging
- Logging
- Refactoring
- Version control
- Build tools and continuous integration

book page.
