Stop Counting Change!

TipEven Tip Calculator is more than just a normal "X%" tip calculator. It provides that function, but it also gives the details on rounding up to the next highest even amount, both for the total bill and the tip.

For example, let's say you have a bill of $38.41. A 15% tip is $5.76, for a total of $44.17. But to even things out, the next highest dollar amount is $45.00, a tip of $6.59 which is 17.2%. The next highest even tip is $6.00, which totals $44.41 and is a tip of 15.6%.

There are versions for the iPhone/iPod Touch AND for the Android-based T-Mobile G1 phone. Currently available at Handango and MobiHand. Coming soon to the Android Market!

Standard Tip

As a simple utility application, the method for setting the standard tip is easy. Simply touch the "i" information icon located at the bottom of the screen. This will flip the view and give you the ability to set your standard tip. Tap the "Done" button to go back and automatically recalculate the tip with the new percentage.

Warning Provided

If the next calculated even amount is more than 4% above the standard tip, the percentage will be displayed in RED text. This alerts you to the fact that the calculated tip is outside of the normal range.
