- Why can't I email until I decode my note?
This is a built-in safety feature. This way someone can't email your note
to themselves and then hack it on their own machine. Basically if the user
can't decode it, they can't do anything with the note either.
- I forgot my PIN.
DO NOT FORGET YOUR PIN.
If enough users request the feature of a PIN hint it may be included in a
future release. But this is somewhat of a security risk and will probably
be included as a silent feature.
- What is the default PIN?
As mentioned in the user guide, the default PIN
is 5678. If you created any notes before changing the PIN or want to
remove the "Welcome Message" note, the PIN will be 5678.
- Why can't I decode directly on the device?
With version 1.2 release in early February you can
if you can receive HTML formatted email on the device. A link is included
in the email that when pressed launches PrivateNotes with the encoded note
already preloaded, ready for decoding.
